Old should not mean more difficult than necessary

How to Invest Money is clearly a very old book. Old books are not necessarily overly long, or verbose however this one clearly is. It takes the topic of how to invest money and ensures only a "well bred" english gentleman would every have the time or patience to be able to read about basic financial assets.
A quick google search about stocks, bonds, mutual funds, and etfs will serve a modern investor far better than the entirety of this book.
It is unnecessarily hard to read, topics are stretched out, and the wording is not always clear. I understand that perhaps this is the way people spoke 100-200 years ago however readers who are searching for books on how to invest money will not find this book enlightening. I read it in the hopes of finding a kernel of unsung knowledge. I found nothing I didn't already know.
